As the leading provider of high-class actuarial education and CPD activities in Europe, the European Actuarial Academy (EAA) will be hosting its first virtual conference with the aim
Initially planned as an onsite event the EAA is very happy and proud to run this special conference in an online environment to take into account the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting travel restrictions.
The actuarial focus has changed significantly over the last couple of years. Computational power is increasing with exponential growth, in addition more and more data is available. This combination puts the actuarial profession into a position where a new understanding has to be developed on today‘s possibilities of actuarial science and the ethical implications of it. The new role of actuaries within big data and ongoing digitalisation is not yet fully defined. Best practice experience sharing and exchange of ideas is needed!
The EAA is delighted to offer all interested actuaries and other experts a forum for knowledge exchange:
On 29 and 30 June 2020, the first EAA e-Conference “Data Science & Data Ethics” will be broadcast here on actuview. The two-day programme combines keynote speeches from well-known experts with food for thought and selected talks from professionals through a call for papers.
You can find the full program on these pages:
And here you can download the schedule (PDF).
As a registered user of actuview, the EAA e-Conference can be joined free of charge.
If you signed up to the event with the EAA in advance, you also got access to the four exclusive live web sessions of the keynote speakers. These keynote sessions will take place as scheduled in the conference programme and are marked accordingly. The registration is completely free of charge but necessary to get access to the webinar platform for the mentioned keynotes. As attendance is limited and needed registration.
The EAA‘s Data Science & Data Ethics Conference is open to all European actuaries and other interested experts. Access to the conference is available especially to members of actuarial associations in Europe and members of IAA Sections. If you have any questions or no login details yet, please send an e-mail to contact@actuview.com or contact your local association.
The language of the conference will be English.
The Data Science & Data Ethics e-Conference is recognised by many actuarial associations as formal further training. Please forward your actuview Watch Record 2020 (see your actuview profile under „Documentation“) to your national association for recognition. The platform can only document the videos watched if your cookie blocker is not too restrictive. It can help to change the browser (recommendation: Firefox).
Please check with your local actuarial association how many CPD points or hours are available under the national CPD scheme of the relevant association for this event.
