Speaker: Peter Devlin
Actuary 4. 0: how will actuaries‘ careers develop given the change in the employment markets taking place? Given the predicted "end of professions", this paper will make use of the DAV study of their membership that Deloitte Germany undertook in 2 0 1 7 to see how actuaries in Germany (and elsewhere from other sources) are coping and will cope in future with the many changes taking place that affect the actuarial employment market. These include robotics, the digital world, the rise of data analytics, the decline in the defined benefits pension market and competitors emerging in other related professions.
