Being an actuary isn’t only what we do; it is who we are. This video aims to capture how one actuary can choose to add value in multiple industries and in social settings too. We begin with some uncertainty and continue by developing a thirst for giving back. I share my journey in different social and corporate settings to demonstrate that an actuary can contribute in the most unusual places. Our education and predecessors have given us a great steppingstone. It is now our responsibility to demonstrate that we have the ability and potential to change the world for the better. My bridge to tomorrow involves applying techniques that I’ve learnt in banking to the life and healthcare sectors whilst acknowledging that I have a role to play in my community as well.
