With exponential increase in the amount of digital data and the emergence of better tools actuaries will be able to construct better models in all areas of their activity. It is becoming possible to know much more about the reality around us and to make far better predictions for the future.  
But is all of this good for the societies around us? Do we create a better world to live in for everybody? Is there a danger that our techniques will inhibit social inclusion and create tools for discrimination?  
This presentation is based on the work of EIOPA's expert group on digital ethics in insurance. The group published its report in the spring of 2021. Many actuaries were involved in the group. The presentation tells about main findings of this group and their impact on the work of an actuary.
