In December 2020, EIOPA published its final advice to the European Commission on the 2020 review of Solvency II. In this session, Aisling Barrett will update members on the key EIOPA recommendations, whilst the Central Bank’s Joseph Collins will give insights on the CBI’s perspective and likely next steps for the regime.
Aisling Barrett is a principal with Milliman based in Dublin. She is significantly experienced in the role of the Actuarial Function, Reviewing Actuary and Risk Management Function for insurance companies in Ireland under Solvency II. Aisling has extensive experience assisting insurers in meeting Solvency II requirements across all three pillars.
Joseph Collins recently joined the CBI from the Bank of England, and has been regulating Solvency II since it started. Specialist subjects include Risk Margin, LACDT and the foolhardiness of moving country in the middle of a global pandemic.
