This webinar is aimed at informing participants about the status of the Solvency II 2020 Review and on AAE’s involvement in this review process. Besides a stock-taking of currently discussed possible amendments of the Solvency II framework, AAE’s activities concerning this matter will be presented.
A change of the Solvency II Directive requires approval by the trilogue parties European Commission, EU-Council and the European Parliament. Siegbert will speak about their proposals made for such a change taking account of the available amendments proposed by these parties. While final documents of the Commission and the Council are already available, the position of the Parliament is still not finalised. Siegbert will concentrate predominantly on topics concerning actuarial and risk management tasks and illustrate the spread of the proposed amendments. His presentation will encompass in addition some crucial points of Commission’s proposed new Insurance Recovery and Resolution Directive.
Daphné will further explain the detailed work of the AAE with a specific focus on long-term guarantees, risk margin, pillar 2 expectations including Sustainability.
